Putting on the uniform was probably your first real experience with direction and purpose. Taking it off is harder. The Purpose Blueprint is the framework UHP uses to help you find what’s next, and build the discipline to go get it.
Before you can build a plan, you have to know what you’re already carrying. Explore each piece below.
What lights you up? What can you do for hours without getting tired of it? Your passions are the clues to what your day-to-day should feel like.
We often discover our passions in the activities that make us lose track of time, and through what we naturally enjoyed doing as children.
What have you consistently proven you’re good at in the military, at work, in relationships, or under pressure? Skills are what you bring to the table, developed through repetition, discipline, and hard experience.
If there’s something people consistently rely on you for, that’s likely where your strongest skills live.
What do you hold to be true about yourself and the world? Beliefs often operate beneath the surface, but they shape how you handle failure, respond to challenges, and see your own potential.
Self-reflection is key. Determine which personal beliefs have helped you succeed and which might be holding you back.
What do you refuse to compromise? Values shape your priorities and how you define success, especially in hard seasons. They are the principles that guide your decisions no matter the circumstances.
Reflect on the concepts of pride, frustration, and motivation to help uncover what matters most to you.
Purpose gives you direction. These eight areas make sure you can actually get there — physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially. Select any one to read more.
Agency isn’t a feeling, and it isn’t motivation. It’s the disciplined belief that you can shape your future through your own choices, effort, and ownership — and the willingness to move first. Without it, a plan is just a document. With it, thinking becomes strategy, training becomes capability, and feeling becomes conviction.
This is a guided process. You’ll work through each step with UHP coaches and fellow students on our 800-acre campus.
Reflect honestly on your passions, skills, beliefs, and values — with feedback from people who know you best.
Connect the dots into a clear, honest statement of what matters most and where you want to go.
Rate where you stand across all eight foundations, and decide which ones deserve your attention first.
Practice the daily skills — pause, notice, choose; intention setting; gratitude — that turn awareness into ownership.
Leave with a goal, real action steps, a backup plan for when life gets in the way, and people who’ll hold you to it.
That’s not a warning. It’s the whole point. UHP exists to help you build it well.
